Jonathan Harrison joined the Office of Legal Affairs in 2024. His practice is primarily focused on addressing student issues including student conduct, accommodations, grievances, free speech, and health and wellbeing. Jonathan also provides legal counsel on a variety of issues, including constitutional law, public procurement, and student affairs. Prior to joining UNC Charlotte, Jonathan worked as Associate Counsel for Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where he partnered with academic leadership to create programs and provide unique learning opportunities to students and medical residents. Jonathan also served on MUSC's public records request and litigation response teams.
Jonathan received a B.S. in Political Science from South Carolina State University and a J.D. from Charleston School of Law.
